Founded in 1982, the Haub School of Business pairs with the College of Arts & Sciences to give Saint Joseph’s University undergrads four health-related bachelor’s options. The B.S. in Interdisciplinary Health Services is a 40-course, pre-professional program chaired by Dr. Michelle Rowe in Post Hall to introduce fundamental clinical knowledge. Adhering to BCaBA exam standards, the 120-credit B.S. in Autism Behavioral Studies prepares healthcare assistants capable of treating patients with ABA therapy in the Kinney Center. First, the 42-credit M.S. in Health Administration adheres to the NCHL competency model in two on-campus or online tracks for Health Informatics and Organization Development & Leadership for a median alumni wage of $96,500. In July 2018, Saint Joseph’s University is undergoing comprehensive evaluation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) to continue the Level V accreditation for a fourth decade under its 28th president, Dr. Mark Reed. Located just 4.8 miles east on Market Street, this seven-state East Coast is respected by the U.S. Department of Education to investigate the academic quality of SJU’s 68 baccalaureate, 53 master’s, one doctoral, and 12 special study programs from Lower Merion Township to Overbrook. The 3+2 Nursing Option is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Marketing MBA courses were reaffirmed by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2015 too.
Saint Joseph’s University Application Requirements
Classified as “moderately difficult” by Peterson’s, Saint Joseph’s University okayed 6,947 of the 8,914 Fall 2016 applications for 78 percent acceptance. First-year Hawks eyeing the B.S. in Interdisciplinary Health Services or similar majors need a high school diploma. Scoring at least 2250 combined on the GED also qualifies. On average, freshmen have a 3.52 GPA in strong college-prep curricula. Tests are optional, but undergrads present a mean SAT score of 1210. The Honors Program needs a 3.75 GPA, 1400 SAT score, or 30 ACT score. Pursuing the M.S. in Health Administration or Education mandates a bachelor’s GPA over 3.0. Prerequisites are Biology, Psychology, Sociology, and Research Methods. Having two to three years of medical experience is preferred. The Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Marketing MBA also necessitates GMAT scores under seven years old.
Saint Joseph’s University set freshman deadlines of November 1st for Early Action, January 15th for Early Decision, and February 1st for Regular Decision.
